During the holidays I have a habit of over doing it a bit. As in making way to many treats to give out as gifts. Seeing’s that we know so many people well, I just feel compelled to make and bake for everyone, it’s in my nature as a Baker you could say. This past year I did go a bit light though, being under the weather and all. I’m really hoping that this year will be much better! That by October I will have my Gift Product List all figured out. That I will have my Ingredient List all finished for that list and last but not least, I will have my Gift Giving List all finished, not to be added too… like it normally is every year. LOL But hey, don’t most of us end up doing that, seriously!! Come on, admit it, you know you’ve done it a time or two! If not then, I’m a Purple Sparkled Unicorn!!!
Well, this is a short but sweet recipe so lets get to it, shall we… Here are the ingredients you will need for these yummy cavity finders. 🙂
1 10 oz. Bag of Mini Marshmallows
1 12 oz. Bag of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/4 cup White Chocolate Chips (sorry, not in the photo)
1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips (sorry, not in the photo)
7 cups Golden Graham Cereal
1/2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract (optional)
Line a baking sheet with wax paper, set aside.
Pour all of the Semi-sweet chocolate chips into a medium, glass, microwave safe bowl. On High, microwave your chips for 1 minute then stir with a wooden spoon. Place back into the microwave but this time only for 30 seconds. Take out, stir again. Do this a couple more times, just until the chocolate has all melted and is nice and smooth. At this point, if you are going to be adding any Vanilla Extract, by all means, be my guest. 🙂
Now, pour all of that yummy melted chocolate onto your prepared baking pan then quickly before it starts to cool, start piling on the marshmallows and Golden Graham Cereal. Press it all down nice and good!! Now go stick that stuff in the freezer while you get cleaned up a bit and get ready for the next part, okie dokie.
In two separate coffee cups, place the white chocolate chips in one and the dark chocolate chips in the other. Microwave for 30 seconds at a time, just until melted. Stick a fork in each one and very quickly drag whichever chocolate you like first, drag it over the tray of Bark starting and ending corner to corner. Makes it look real purdee, don’t it. LOL Go and stick the tray back into the freezer for about 10 minutes. Fridge for a good 30 minutes if not the freezer. The chocolate drizzle is what is going to help keep everything into place once you start cutting it into chunks to box and or bag it up for your gift giving. If, that’s what your going to do with it. Who knows, you might just go out back and feed it to the Purple Sparkled Unicorn! 🙂
Now, you maybe wondering why I have called this recipe “Reduced Fat”. Well, you don’t see any “Butter”, in my recipe now do you??? Nope, ya sure don’t and that’s my story and I’m stickin too it!! LOL I hope you enjoy these as much as everyone that I made them for.
