I have 3 Brownie recipes that I need to try out and this is the first. I’m always looking for that perfect fudgy, chewy brownie and hate to say it, even though these Brownies turned out pretty good…. they ain’t it!!! Must not have been to bad though, the guys at work gobbled them up very quickly from what my man told me. 🙂
So, here is one of the Brownie recipes that I have been experimenting with. Like I said, they are really good, just not Perfect. Not Perfect the way I know Perfect for me can and should be!! Make sense? LOL Well, let’s get to it, shall we. I mixed this batter up the hard way, you don’t have to do that. If you like just get a big bowl and a sturdy wooden spoon and go for it. It’s gonna take some muscle but I know you have it, you’re you, of course you have it. Hey, got a joke for you… What do you call a cow with no legs????
“Ground Beef” LOL
Got ya to smile and that’s just one of the things I love doing… is making people smile!! 🙂
Here we go…
Ingredients you will need are:
3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1/8 tsp. Baking Powder
1/8 tsp. Salt
1/3 Cup Butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
3 Tbsp. Dutch Cocoa Powder
1 Tbsp. Regular Cocoa Powder
1 Cup Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1/4 Cup Semi-sweet or Dark Chocolate Chips, optional
1/4 Cup Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips, optional
Line an 8″ x 8″ Baking Dish with parchment paper and spray the sides of the pan that are not covered in paper with Pam. Set aside…. please. 🙂 Thank you.. Oh yeah, turn your oven onto to 350 Degrees as well.
Sift all the dry ingredients into a medium size bowl and set that aside. I know, I know, this bowl is huge! Never mind that, you just need a medium size bowl. At that moment this was the only bowl I had available.
Now, using the paddle attachment on your stand mixer beat together the butter and cocoa until light and fluffy. As fluffy as it can get anyhow. LOL Add the sugar then the eggs, one at a time not forgetting to scrap down the sides of the bowl and the bottom of it, okay. Add the Vanilla extract, mix to combine. Slowly add the flour mixture into the bowl. Mix just until you see no more dry mixture. You can add your Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chips now if you like. You just don’t want to over-beat the batter, that’s all.
Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 20 -25 minutes. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN DOOR TO CHECK ON THEM!!! Just be patient otherwise your Brownies just may end up looking as ugly as mine did. LOL
Take out of the oven and place on a wire rack to cool completely. When ready to slice just lift the whole thing out of there, place on a cutting board and cut into 9 pieces. Or, you can go all Freddy Krueger on them like I did! LMAO Sprinkle some powdered sugar on them if you like for a little added something for when you set them on a nice serving plate…
And there you have it, Ugly Brownies! But yummy Ugly Brownies and, if they are not your favorite, that’s all right, no biggi. Like I said, I’m still looking for my Ultimate Brownie Recipe!!! Hell, if I have to get out my old cookbooks and doctor something up in there to make up a kick-ass recipe you damn Skippy I will!!! 🙂
It has been a bit of a challenge to re-write most of my recipes now that I live up in the mountains and no longer in the desert but, that’s okay, no biggi, I can handle it, I live for this stuff cause I love to BAKE!!!
Enjoy Ya’ll,
Kimmi
Ugly they ain’t! the inside of these brownies looks perfect! So decadent.
